Sacramento School of Engineering and Science
Purpose
The Sacramento School of Engineering and Science charter high school will provide students between the grades of 9-12 with a STEM oriented curriculum. Specifically, the curriculum will be based on the New Mexico instructional content standards and thematically anchored in Engineering and Science.
Our Vision
The primary mission is to provide students with career-ready transportable skills, knowledge, and traits so they will contribute positively to society. The instruction and learning opportunities at SSES will empower students to become proficient in various fields of engineering, particularly in robotics, computer science, electrical, and mechanical engineering. We strive to cultivate critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and a passion for lifelong learning in our students, preparing them to excel in a career field and/or higher education.
Opening in August 2025 to grades 9-12 in Alamogordo NM

Dr. Michelle Y. Perry is a visionary educator, entrepreneur, and consultant with over 30 years of experience spanning PKācollege instruction, educational leadership, and professional development. As the founder of Learn New Mexico, LLC and Learn Imrsv, LLC, she specializes in immersive virtual reality as an educational technology tool, curriculum design, and strategic action planning. Dr. Perry has held leadership roles across school districts and higher education institutions, spearheaded statewide training initiatives, and contributed to grant development and program management. With a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction focused on learning technologies, she is committed to transforming instruction through innovative, human-centered, and data-driven approaches.
