A Year to Remember
As I reflect on our very first year at Sacramento School of Engineering and Science, I am filled with an incredible sense of pride and gratitude. What an amazing year it has been!
From the very beginning, our students, families, teachers, and staff came together to build something truly special. We have grown not only as a school, but as a community—one built on curiosity, creativity, perseverance, and the belief that every student has the potential to do extraordinary things.
This year, we embraced the spirit of STEM by asking questions, solving problems, designing, building, and learning from our mistakes. We celebrated achievements in engineering and robotics, explored new ideas, and discovered that some of the best learning happens when we step outside the traditional classroom and experience the world around us.
But the greatest success of our first year cannot be measured by awards, projects, or accomplishments alone. It can be seen in the friendships formed, the confidence gained, the challenges overcome, and the moments when our students realized, "I can do this."
I am incredibly proud of each and every one of our students. You have helped shape the identity of SSES, and you will always be a part of our school's history as the students who helped make our first year so remarkable.
To our dedicated teachers and staff, thank you for believing in our students and for giving your time, energy, and hearts to making SSES a place where students can learn, grow, and thrive. To our families, thank you for trusting us with your children and for partnering with us throughout this incredible journey.
As we look toward the future, I know that this is only the beginning. There are new challenges to tackle, new discoveries to make, and countless opportunities ahead. Together, we will continue to build a school where innovation is encouraged, curiosity is celebrated, and every student is empowered to imagine what is possible—and then make it happen.
Thank you for making our first year one we will never forget!
With great pride and excitement for all that lies ahead,
Amanda Allen
