Derrick Bash and Jerson Leon, from Southwest Heritage Bank, gave a talk on banking to the students at Sacramento School of Engineering & Science.
Derrick, a native of Alamogordo, has been with the bank for over 16 years. He runs a childrenās theater with his best friend and wife, Heather. In his free time, he loves working with his hands and is a builder at heart. He works with wood, has a 3D printing business and is now a DIY welder!
Jerson is originally from Utah. He and his family have been here for 3 years now and has been at the bank for over 2 years. Jerson and his wife lead a youth group at their local church. He and his family like to stay active and are always out and about. They love to hike, travel and running/jogging.
Derrick and Jerson spoke to the kids about three main topics ā
1. Exploring banking careers
2. Fraud awareness
3. Building credit for teens
There was a good discussion, fun games and a lot of great questions. This was their first time at SSES and experienced the widely known hospitality of the staff and students.
Thank you for being part of our Guest Lecture series.
