Our unique approach of project-based teaching encourages and excites the students by involving all subjects to better explain the connection and need to understand “How things work together.” Our staff provides engaging teaching methods. There are 2 steps to become an ACTIVE student at SSES - Enrollment & Registration

Step One – Enrollment

The enrollment process is placing your student’s name onto the list of potential students. This becomes an important step in the event the maximum enrollment triggers a lottery. The lottery occurs in the Spring for the 2026-27 school year.

• Complete the enrollment form online (link above) or in person for the current 2025-26 school year. Please ensure all required details are included and accurate on the form. For questions, contact us at (575) 888-3421 or email admin@charter-sses.org

Step Two - Registration

Submit all registration documents, including:

• Student and Family Information Form

• Health Record Form

• Media Release Form

• Dental Examination Verification Form

• Immunization Records

These documents can be uploaded through PowerSchool or presented in person to the Administrative Assistant at SSES who will attach the information to your student’s enrollment file.

 Who Can Enroll at SSES?

•  Children eligible for 9th - 12th grade for the 2025-2026 school year.

Cost to Attend

•  SSES is a free public charter school; there is no cost to attend.

  Available Seats for the 2025-26 school year

In accordance with the NM state statutes, enrollment preference is given to:

• Siblings of students already enrolled at SSES.

• Children of school staff members.
